About Us
In the Armenian community, there is a need for a good school built on the foundation of sound human relationships, warmth, understanding, and genuine caring for the children. It should be a program which is structured, but also flexible enough to suit the needs of each individual child.
Our goal is to provide a useful education and to promote American and Armenian values. Our children are expected to love and respect American culture, the English language, their native language, as well as their own culture and history. Narek Cultural Foundation is unique because of our staff members’ academic credentials, excellence, and high moral values. Therefore, we are a model school for our Armenian community. Narek Day Care CenterNarek Day Care Center’s educational program is based on the educational philosophy that each child is provided with activities that promote his or her cognitive, social-emotional, intellectual and physical development.
We believe each child is unique for a variety of reasons, including his or her cultural identity, which influences learning. Therefore, we respect all cultures. We challenge the individual potential of every child. Learning is coordinated by our experienced staff. Our teachers plan and implement learning possibilities for each individual child. At our center, children (2-5) develop naturally because we encourage interests, expression, and imagination in an age-appropriate, stimulating environment. The classroom environment and the room arrangements support teachers and allow them to engage in positive interactions with children. Children learn the skills necessary for them to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. They have opportunities to problem solve and build fine and gross motor skills. To this end, hands on activities help make learning fun and interesting. Narek Armenian SchoolNarek Armenian School strives to raise an ideal citizen whose beliefs are deeply rooted to his heritage.
